Veneer and Cosmetic Dentistry
Veneers :Veneers are very thin pieces of porcelain that are prepared in the dental laboratory and bonded to your tooth by the Dentist.
Veneers can completely change your smile; they can correct your crooked smile, reshape broken teeth, make your teeth brighter and shiny, and hide stains and discoloration.
There are two types of Veneers
- Traditional veneers: Traditional veneers: For traditional veneers your dentist has to prep your tooth and may also give you anesthesia to alleviate pain while the procedure is being carried out.
- No-Prep veneer: The No-Prep veneer is very thin and your dentist doesn’t need to prepare your teeth. Anesthesia is not needed either. Your dentist will just take the tooth impression and send it to the dental laboratory. When ready, the Dentist will just bond the veneer to your tooth.
Advantages of No-Prep veneer :
- No need to prep tooth
- Less discomfort
- No anesthesia
- Less chair time
